A Team of Operators, Engineers & Chemists
Who Know frac

Innovation is only as good as the talent that creates it. Within DCS lies a world-class team that is free to perform without the preconceived notions that detract from innovation.

A team built
for frac performance

DCS's approach may be simple, but its team is diverse and dynamic. Innovation is only as good as the talent that creates it, and within DCS lies a world class team that is free to perform without the typical preconceived notions that can detract from innovation.

Success in business can be defined in many ways, but DCS measures success by smiles, high fives, and small victories. These measures often lead to winning in the marketplace — and for that DCS is thankful and grateful for all of the individuals that choose to be a part of its team.

DCS Culture — Employee-Powered. Employee-Owned.
Employee Ownership

Owned by the people
who do the work

DCS is a 55% Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company established in 2023. That means every person on our team — from field operators to executive leadership — has a direct stake in the company's success. While DCS has outside investors, they hold no management control. When we win for our clients, we win for ourselves.

What employee ownership means for our culture

Fierce dedication to excellence in service

With an aligned group of employee owners all working towards the same goal, we work like no other to ensure our clients receive service above and beyond what's expected.

Transparency, respect, and accountability — to our clients & each other

At the center of our culture is a desire to win together. We mandate that our team works with respect for one another, creating an environment that every employee owner is proud to be part of.

Powered by a culture rooted in teamwork and safety

Success is built on efficient interactions and support between every function of our business — a large team of individuals, each with skin in the game, working together towards a common goal.

The people
who lead DCS

DCS's executive team brings decades of hands-on experience in oil and gas completion chemistry and the broader oilfield services industry — from field operations and chemical formulation to commercial strategy and financial leadership. They've worked alongside operators in every major basin and understand what best-in-class completion performance actually requires.

What sets the DCS leadership team apart isn't just technical depth — it's alignment. As employee owners in the DCS ESOP, our executives carry the same stake in this company's success as every other member of the team. There are no outside shareholders pulling in a different direction. When we deliver outstanding value for our clients, the entire company wins together.

Wayne Cutrer
Wayne Cutrer
Co-Founder & Chairman of the Board

Wayne Cutrer founded Downhole Chemical Solutions alongside co-founder Chase Copeland in 2015 with a clear mission: do one thing, and be the best at it. Over the next eleven years, he built DCS from the ground up into a 220+ employee organization delivering industry-leading completion chemistry across the Permian, Haynesville, and Eagle Ford basins — and helped pioneer the dry friction reducer delivery model that has since reshaped how operators approach slickwater completions.

In 2026, Wayne stepped down as CEO, passing the reins to the executive team he helped develop. He remains DCS's Chairman of the Board and its most committed champion — fully invested in the company's future as its founding employee owner.
